Welcome to the home page of the West Moonah Community House. Situated in the heart of West Moonah in Southern Tasmania, this House was born around the kitchen tables of the community when residents felt there was a need for somewhere that would offer activities, courses and opportunities to make new friends and find a little support. At first we ran for a few hours a week in a room provided by the local primary school. It wasn't until 1991 that we moved into our purpose built House with its excellent Child Care facilities and meeting rooms.
This website was constructed by the IT Applications project, an Australian Government initiative funded by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and operated by Job Futures Tasmania as part of the Work for the Dole Scheme.
