Introduction
The Sound Preservation Association of Tasmania is an
Incorporated Body of like minded people whose interests and aims are to
identify, collect and preserve recorded sound , equipment, literature,
memorabilia and oral histories of especially Tasmanian origins.

The resource research centre and museum is located in the old Bellerive Post Office,
19 Cambridge Road, Bellerive TAS 7018.

Monday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday (We
can open outside these hours if required.
SPAT is a non profit organisation, therefore a gold coin donation upon
entry would be greatly appreciated.
Affiliations
Sound Preservation is associated with community radio 'Hobart FM 96.1'.
(they also broadcast on 92.1 Mhz covering the areas south of Hobart).
SPAT is also associated with "Sound of the
City" and the Eastern Shore Historical Network Inc.
